How To Upload Your EBook So That It Can Be Instantly Downloaded

Once you have created your ebook or you have bought one with resell rights you will want visitors to your site to be able to download it easily.

Save your ebook on your desktop. Give it a short name and this will end in .pdf or .exe depending on which software you used to create it.

.pdf ebooks will be opened by Adobe Reader without you having to do anything but give the ebook a title ending in .pdf.

.exe ebooks open instantly, although many people are wary of .exe books because they have been used to transmit viruses. People who download it should always put it through their virus checker and it’s a good idea if you do the same before you upload it.

Either way you now have your ebook.pdf or ebook.exe on your desktop.

Open your ftp program. If you haven’t got one go to Google and type in “free ftp” and get one. In cpanel find the index to all your pages and use the links there to upload it.

When you have opened your FTP program you will see that on one side you will have a list of the pages on your website. On the other you will have a list of items on your computer. Go to the list of items on your computer until you find ‘Desktop’. Click on that and you will get a list of items on your desktop. Find ebook.pdf or ebook.exe

Click on the name (ebook.pdf or ebook.exe) to highlight it. To upload it to your website you need to get this ebook to the other side of your ftp program. With most ftp programs you click an arrow pointing to the website. On others you can click on your book, keep your left finger pressed down and drag the book to the website side.

Once that is done your ebook is located at [http://www.your] website/ebook.pdf or at [http://www.yourwebsite/ebook.exe]. It’s there. That’s it.

Test it for yourself. Open your browser and type in the relevant URL ([http://www.yourwebsite/ebook.pdf] or .exe You should immediately get the download box appear on your screen. Click on ‘Save’. Save it to your desktop but change it’s name to something like ebook2.pdf or ebook2.exe to prevent it overwriting your original book on your desktop.

Then open it from your desktop and check the links. Now you have your ebook readily available to everyone who clicks on the link [http://www.mywebsite/ebook.pdf] or ebook.exe.

Congratulations
